Byron Optometry Office COVID Procedures

In accordance with guidelines from the College of Optometrists of Ontario, our clinic has increased our disinfection protocols to help stop the spread of COVD-19

Our commitment to keeping you safe

Our team will:

  • Not book appointments for anyone who does not pass our COVID screening
  • Clean our hands before and after each patient interaction and throughout the day
  • Wear PPE (personal protective equipment) covering mouth, nose and eyes when interacting with patients
  • Maintain a physical distance of 2m whenever possible
  • Install breath shields on all exam equipment where possible
  • Disinfect all equipment and devices (including eyeglass frames) that have come in contact with patients
  • Increase disinfection frequency of high traffic areas in the clinic
  • Not present to work if we are feeling unwell

We need your help

We request our patients:

  • Book an appointment before presenting to our clinic to help us maintain physical distancing
  • Pass our COVID screening questionnaire
  • Wear a mask. We kindly request that you bring your own mask due to a global shortage of PPE. If you do not have a mask you may purchase one from our office
  • Use the hand sanitizing station before entering our clinic
